The essentials: I am married to a man who loves me for me. I have two little boys who bring me great joy and at times, make me crazy. We have a pet turtle named Rextile who has been described as “outgoing.”
I’m an eternal optimist. My favorite place to be is on a pier in Orange Beach, AL with a glass of wine in hand, watching the sun set. My friends tell me that I have a calm quiet spirit. I have been to every state in the USA. I am obsessed with the topic of happiness. Oh and my friend, Oprah, talked me into pursuing my dream of becoming a life coach.
Well, she is not really my friend. I wish. In September of 2014, I went to Oprah’s Get the Life You Want tour in Atlanta. Among many inspiring things Oprah spoke about was listening to Life’s whispers. My life had been whispering to me about becoming a life coach but it was the weekend with Oprah that inspired me to make the move and pursue becoming a certified life coach. I am now a certified life coach through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC). IPEC is an Internationl Coach Federation (ICF) accredited school with a requirement of over 340 hours of coursework.
Other things on my resume (if I had one) include 16 years of finance work in Corporate America, an MBA and 10 years of parenthood under my belt.
One new addition to the resume! I am now a board member for the Georgia Chapter of the International Coaching Federation. I am serving as both secretary and treasurer.
